The Association's Walk to Defeat ALS®, is held in numerous cities in the fall and spring across the nation by The Association's nationwide network of chapters. Since the debut of the Walk in 2000, the event has raised more than $276 million. More than 2,400 people with ALS, their friends, families, and the corporate community come together in support of this nationwide effort.
Fundraising through the Walk drives bold and urgent innovation as we march together toward a treatment and ultimately a cure for ALS.
The Local Connection
Your participation in the Walk to Defeat ALS has a direct impact on people living with ALS and their families at the local level. Through education, support groups, access to care and advocacy, we are working to defeat ALS and provide hope to people living with ALS and their families. This year Team Nutty Neurons will have 3 pALS (people with ALS) on the team; Nancy Luke of Bristol, her brother-in-law Steve Finneron of Killington, and friend Paul Francoeur of Leicester. We invite you to walk with us or to support us with a donation.
