Johnson's Tuesday Night Live winds down the season of free, family-friendly concerts on August 27th from 6 PM to 8:30 PM SOUL PROJECT NOLA on the Outdoor Stage at the Legion Field on School Street.
SOUL PROJECT NOLA bring their own voices to the mix of New Orleans Funk, Blues, Gospel, Jazz, and Groove. The Bandleader, guitarist and vocalist Jon Cristian Duque has led the band for over two decades.
The core rhythm section with Wayne Maureau (drums) and Wanda Joseph (bass & vocals) is a tight and funky unit that provides infectious grooves and precision arrangements for which the band is known.
Rain or shine. Food vendors on-site including the Historical Society with slices of homemade pie, Alice's chocolate cake, and McKenzie hotdogs. Tuesday Night Live is free, just bring a blanket or chair. Summer showers may dampen the enthusiasm for a few minutes; but it is lightning and thunder that stops the music.
Information at 802 730-2943.
