Only 10 days until Northfield's biggest celebration of the year!
It kicks off Saturday morning, August 31st, with the popular Northfield 5K Run/Walk, 5K Power Walk, and One Mile Kids' Race. Again this year the organizers of the race – Central Vermont Runners – are partnering with The Veterans' Place, who will present the colors during the singing of the national anthem before the race begins. And some of our residents and board members will be participating in the race.

And on Monday, Sept. 2nd, following the parade and the American Legion chicken BBQ, the fun continues. Come up to Memorial Park to help The Veterans' Place celebrate the 15th Anniversary of its founding. There will be cake and ice cream for everyone, door prizes, guest speakers, games and activities for kids, a special video presentation of our history, and a few surprises. Admission is free and all ages are welcome. The party begins at 1:30pm and ends at 4:00pm.
