UVM Gerontology Program Seeking Volunteers!
The Gerontology Course at UVM is seeking older adult volunteers for their Aging is Very Personal Service-Learning Program. This is a nursing course within The College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
What can you expect if you volunteer? You will meet virtually with about 1-2 nursing students once a week for 4 consecutive weeks. Each meeting will be 75 minutes. The nursing students are interested in learning about you and hearing about your life! This will help contribute to their nursing education and allow them to better understand the older adult population!
In order to participate you must be over the age of 65 and have a device that enables you to use the Zoom video conferencing platform.
The dates/times of the program are as follows. You must be able to participate on ALL 4 Mondays via Zoom from 2:55 pm – 4:15 pm in either Session 1 OR Session 2!
Session 1: September 9th, 16th, 23th, and 30th
OR
Session 2: October 14th, 21st, 28th, and November 4th
