Music for Self-Care is a 4-week series that teaches participants how to intentionally use music in their daily lives to decrease stress, strengthen their immune system, and increase confidence, among many other things. Broken down into four 1-hour classes, this series gives participants the opportunity to engage in a variety of musical experiences including instrumental play, singing, drumming and guided relaxation exercises supported by music. Self-care tips and tools will be provided for participants to take with them into their daily lives.
No musical experience is required! Classes are led by board-certified music therapist, Marcie Hernandez, MT-BC. With over 10 years of experience as a music therapist working with individuals of all backgrounds and abilities, Marcie creates a safe, judgement-free environment for creative self-expression and deep self-reflection.
Classes are from 6:30PM-7:30PM on Tuesday evenings in October (10/8, 10/15, 10/22, 10/29).
