WHY: Seeds & Songs honors the work of outgoing Executive Director Cheryl King Fischer. The event will celebrate, showcase & invigorate the power of New England’s environmental grassroots movements in three ways. It will demonstrate: 1) music, as part of an organizing strategy, inspires and motivates a community; 2) how today’s media tools could be used to reach larger and more diverse audiences, even in small communities; and that 3) NEGEF goes well beyond seed funding to offer vital services for grassroots activists.
PLUS: This is a Time Out from all the serious organizing…The Grassroots Fund staff knows how hard you and your volunteers work. We wear those hats in our communities, too. We all need to have some fun and recharge. This evening is designed to do just that! You don’t have to come to Boston to experience the concert. We will bring the program, live-streamed, to you in your community via the internet.
