All waters users/or rate payers of the East Hardwick water system are invited to attend the Annual Meeting of the water board on Tuesday, August 20th, starting at 6:00 PM. We will meet at the Grange Meeting House on East Church St. in East Hardwick. The Annual Meeting will be followed by our monthly Regular Meeting which has a full agenda of important issues and developments. The full agendas are posted at the post office and mini mart. Attendees are welcome to stay for both meetings.
Among the agenda items for the Annal Meeting are: Reports from the officers: chairperson's summary of the year; Treasurer's annual profit/loss report, delinquent account update; Operator's report; Election/reelection of two trustee position that are up; Election of Fire Chief and Auditor for the year; Setting the water rate for the calendar year.
Among the prominent agenda items for the Regular Meeting are: Operator's and Treasurer's reports; update on maintenance projects (deconstruction of old library; road repairs following water leak repairs; chlorination report); upcoming Preliminary Engineering Study; Updates on the Asset Management Grant, the Leak Detection Grant, and the Source Protection Plan.
