SAFD2 Phase 2 update: BIG PROGRESS - It appears that after 30+ years of effort, clean drinking water is finally coming to South Alburgh, Vermont. STATUS: The design is 100% complete, the project is fully funded (~50% thru grants), we have secured contracts with enough customers and the project has officially "gone out for bids" (publicly advertised). Our goal is to start construction this year, and with a little luck, the project will be completed next year, in the fall of 2025.
We can still have more customer hook-up so please contact us if you are. As a reminder, we offer "limited-service lines" which allow adjoining customers that are "set-back" from the main-line to share a service line, reducing installation costs. This requires planning so please don't wait if considering.
