On Aug. 17th, we hope you'll join us for another great evening of contra dancing, with wonderful musicians playing live, and a nationally known caller who lives in Burlington!
Dancing will start with a lesson for new folks at about 7:40 PM, followed by dances from 8:00 to 11:00 PM. The lesson and all dances will be taught and called by Adina Gordon, who's known for her clear, precise teaching and calling; great live music will be played by Larry Unger on guitar and banjo, Eric Boodman on fiddle, and Emily Troll playing accordion. Each of them is known for their excellent playing, together they'll keep your feet moving!
Admission is "choose your price": $12 for adults, $5 for kids and low-income dancers, and $20 if you can give a bit more to pay the band and caller a bit more. If you can, bring clean, soft-soled shoes to dance in, or clean outdoor shoes really well for the sake of our dance floor. Hydrate at the water fountain, and fill up at the water-bottle filling station, it's bound to be warm!
