OSSU Community Focus Forum - Budget and Budget Process

​This forum ​will focus on how schools, school boards, and communities can work together to identify needs and priorities within the budget building and implementation cycle.

It will begin with a summary of the​ recent presentation ​at​ the OSSU board meeting on Vermont education finance and its impact on budget development followed by a preview of the format of the district budget that will be presented to each district school board in December, demonstrating the transparency and level of detail that is being planned. It will also include the experience of a school principal as he or she crafts a concrete spending plan to meet the specific educational needs of the students in the school.
