The final Colchester concert of the Craftsbury Chamber Players 2024 summer season takes place Wednesday August 14 at the Elley-Long Music Center in Colchester at 7:30 PM. There is a pre-concert chat at 6:45.
This week's program begins with Georg Philipp Telemann's Suite 'Gulliver's Travels' (1728/29) for two violas followed by the Francis Poulenc Sonata for cello and piano. The final work of the evening (and of the season!) is Johannes Brahms' String Quintet No.2, Op.111 (1890) for 2 violins, 2 violas, and cello.
Performers this week are Mary Rowell and Sarah Goldfeather, violins, Liuh-Wen Ting and Stefanie Taylor, violas, Frances Rowell, cello, and Marcantonio Barone, piano.
