Here are some key items on our agenda.

→ RESOLUTION: IN REMEMBRANCE OF WILLIAM "BILL" KEOGH SR.
City Councilors are presenting a resolution in remembrance of Bill Keogh, a lifelong Burlingtonian, former Parks Superintendent, City Councilor, State Legislator and a man devoted to serving our city.

→ RESOLUTION: ISSUANCE OF REVENUE BONDS FOR BURLINGTON ELECTRIC DEPARTMENT
The BED is seeking to bring forward a revenue bond at the November ballot. This bond would provide funding for continued investment in critical infrastructure and Net Zero Energy goals in a way that reduces pressure on BED's retail rates and annual budgets. Since BED is funded by ratepayers, this bond will not have property tax implications.

→ RESOLUTION: REQUESTING VERMONT'S CONGRESSIONAL DELEGATION WORK WITH US AIR FORCE TO REPLACE CURRENT F-35 MISSION
This resolution requests Vermont's congressional delegation look into replacing the F-35 mission with one that emits less harmful noise.

→ CHAMPLAIN PARKWAY PROJECT AUTHORIZATION
The DPW is presenting an amendment to the Champlain Parkway Project to split the construction into two phases: Initial phase and Final phase. This will open the original phase of the project - between Home Avenue and Kilburn Street - earlier than initially planned.

→ BRIEF DISCUSSION ON CHANGES TO CITY CHARTER RELATED TO THE SHORT FORM OF THE BALLOT ITEM REGARDING AUTHORITY OF THE POLICE COMMISION AND POLICE OVESIGHT.
Note that there will be public hearings on this item on August 15th and 22nd at 5:00 pm.

→ UPDATE OF ORDINANCE RELATED TO TAXI FARES

→ ENCAMPMENTS UPDATE
We'll hear from the Administration regarding encampments and unsheltered homelessness in Burlington. This is an issue we hear from many of you on regularly - we encourage you to attend and provide your perspective in the public comment portion of the meeting. Memo is attached to the agenda.

→ COMMUNITY SAFETY UPDATE
We'll hear from the administration regarding public safety and hot spot updates. This is also an issue we hear from many of you on regularly - again we encourage you to come provide your perspective in the public comment portion of the meeting. Memo is attached to the agenda.
