Join Us at Dark Sky Vermont
What do you love about the night sky? DarkSky Vermont is just starting up, and we will be meeting by Zoom on Monday August 12 from 7:30 to 9 pm at https://us06web.zoom.us/j/88436255547.
All are welcome!
We are a group coming together because of our shared awe of the Vermont night skies, and the ways in which it supports astronomers, bird migrations, wildlife, pollinators, human health, and so much more.
The night sky, filled with stars, is celebrated around the world as a common heritage benefitting all living things. Yet according to the 2016 World Atlas of Artificial Night Sky Brightness, 80% of US children will never see the Milky Way. Vermont still has some of the darkest night skies in New England. How can we continue to look after this together?

~ Though my soul may set in darkness, it will rise in perfect light;
I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night. ~
