Washington UU Service Aug. 11: "Do Good, Be Good"

Please join us this summer on Sundays at 10:00 a.m. at the Washington (VT) Unitarian Universalist Congregation. All are welcome!

This Sunday, August 11th our speaker will be Ginny Sassaman, guest worship leader and writer/advocate for happiness, speaking on "Do Good, Be Good! Exploring the simple profundity of nurturing basic human goodness." We are delighted to welcome Ginny back to our pulpit!

If you like to sing, our small choir rehearses some simple pieces at 9:15am prior to the service. Coffee, tea and cookies are served after the service.

We are located at 2938 VT Route 110 in the village of Washington, Vermont.

Ginny Sassaman, author of "Preaching Happiness: Creating a Just and Joyful World", has been a lay preacher in Unitarian Universalist congregations in Vermont, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and South Carolina since 2013. She is a co-founder and former president of Gross National Happiness USA. She has spoken on the international systems well-being movement in Seattle, Santa Fe, Princeton, and Costa Rica. She writes about and leads workshops on multiple aspects of personal well-being, especially meditation and conflict resolution skills. Ginny has a Masters in Mediation and Applied Conflict Studies, and a certificate in Positive Psychology. She believes in love and the essential goodness within us all.
