Please join me and the other candidates running for Vermont State Senate this Friday to hear more about who we are and what our policy positions are.
For those who are unaware, here is a little bit about me and why I am running:
I am a native Vermonter, born & raised in North Bennington, who cares deeply about this state and the unique community we have here in southern Vermont. I am advocate for the disabled, the LGBTQIA+ community, and those who are marginalized and most vulnerable. I also believe we have failed our vital middle class and need to right the ship here in Vermont, closing the wealth gap, making space for local businesses and local entrepreneurs while making big business and privileged private investors pay their fair share. I believe in sustainable, responsible development practices that protect our natural landscape and resources, while cleaning and greening up this amazingly beautiful state. We need to attract more people so we can lower the cost of living for our residents, but we need to bring new life into our state strategically. Vermont is a haven and has an opportunity to do things the right way - let's seize the moment and do something amazing here. Let's work together as a community and take a front seat... for too long, we have been told what we need and how we'll get it by people who have not lived the experiences their constituents are faced with every day. I will not accept a back seat anymore, and neither should Bennington.
