Even though Debby will cause rain Friday and early Saturday, it looks as though it will clear out for Saturday evening! So, join astronomy enthusiasts for our August star party at the Northern Skies Observatory, Saturday, August 10, starting at 9 PM.
The peak for the Perseid Meteor Shower is happening, the moon is a thin crescent, so we should have good dark skies to see lots of amazing deep sky objects!
The mosquitoes have been active, so bug spray is a good idea, and bring a sweater! Please leave your flashlights at home - the driveway up to the observatory from the Peacham School parking lot is lit!
Check the http://nkaf.org Facebook page for late breaking news! We hope to see you there!
