Time is Running Out to Order Insulating Window Inserts for this Coming Winter!
While we are enjoying the glorious days of summer, it's hard to think about how the air will start to cool, and we'll be piling on layers of warm clothing before too long. But those blustery fall and winter winds are coming, and the temperatures will be dropping once we turn the corner after Labor Day.
What to do? For over 10 years, WindowDressers volunteers have been making polyolefin-wrapped interior storm windows to keep residents of New England warmer, help them save on fuel costs, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and build community by working together.
Once again, Community Build(s) will be held in Bethel Town Hall, Friday October 11th through Wednesday October 16th, 2024, but the deadline for ordering new inserts is fast approaching! Generous assistance is available for anyone who would find paying our full costs a challenge - customers with limited income can receive up to 10 inserts for free or reduced price.
The Rochester Area Climate Initiative will be tabling on Friday August 9th at the Rochester's Farmers Market. Stop by, ask questions, pick up brochures and sign-up for some window inserts. Don't need inserts? Sign-up to become a volunteer! Yes, we could use your help.
Thanks in advance, and see you Friday!
