NO DOGMA, JUST DOGS…and cats…and guinea pigs…and…
This Sunday, August 11th, at 10am, the First Unitarian Universalist Society Burlington - "the church at the top of Church Street" - is holding an animal blessing service. The community is invited to bring any well-behaved animal to celebrate animal companionship in our lives and to receive an expression of our appreciation through a non-denominational blessing.
The service starts at 10am so come a little earlier than that. If the weather allows, it'll be on our front lawn (so bring folding chairs, as we might run out of seats) - but if it's rainy or to wet, it'll be indoors. The service lasts an hour or so.
Blessings also for your favorite stuffie/plush animal, as well as for deceased pets when you bring a photo of them (or one on your phone) or some other symbol associated with them.
Hope to see you there.
