Come see this Thursday talk on Lake Champlain!
With extreme drought facing much of the nation, we sometimes take for granted the plentiful supply of water we have in Vermont. In this mini-series, we’ll explore some of the issues of water and water quality that face Vermont’s rivers and lakes as well as the opportunities they afford for
recreation and wildlife.
November 13 – Vermont’s ‘Great’ Lake, 6:30 - 8 pm
Lake Champlain is the largest body of water in Vermont, and is also facing some of the largest threats of all our aquatic resources. Mike Winslow, staff scientist with the Lake Champlain Committee, will discuss the natural history of the lake as well as conservation issues including pollution, invasive species, blue-green algae, and more. Fee: $5 donations welcome.
