Free Pasture Walk at Maple Wind Farm

Past event
Aug 9, 2024, 5:30 to 7 PM

The way Maple Wind Farm farms represents just 1% of US food production, and we welcome you to come and see the difference for yourself. We raise chickens, turkeys, pigs, cows and layer hens all on pasture.

Get close to the animals, see what methods are used to move the animals to fresh grass daily and connect that to the high quality food they produce. You'll get to see the brooders with 1,000s of chicks that are getting ready to move to the outside shelters at 3 weeks. Meet the farm guard dogs and maybe collect an egg or two!

Depending on time of year, animal groups on the farm vary. Walks are family friendly over varied terrain. Rain or shine. Register for adults (kids free) An email will be sent to you with information about where to meet. Walks are the same night as our fried chicken dinners so reserve a dinner to take home after!

There's so much to learn about our food system. We look forward to sharing our passion for the last 25 years with you! Come curious! Topics may include: animal health, regenerative farming, rotational grazing systems, and soil health.
