Bridgewater Historical Society presents Cynthia Bittinger, author of "Vermont Women, Native Americans & African Americans: Out of the Shadows of History", will speak to this topic on August 25th. The book takes a fresh look at Vermont's history, uncovering hidden stories, from the earliest inhabitants to present day citizens. She has a section on Achsa Sprague of Plymouth, the famous spiritualist who spoke about important issues way ahead of her time in the 1850s.
