Hi All,
You are invited to join a Zoom meeting on Aug. 8, at 6:30 pm to discuss ideas regarding setting up a Neighborhood Emergency Response.
We would like to keep the whole process as simple as possible so that neighbors will get involved and not feel overwhelmed.
Following are some preliminary ideas:
Neighborhood-level groupings
Two leaders/captains for each grouping
Collect best method of communication for each household, plus contact info if applicable (email, phone, or flyer/knock on door)
Identify vulnerable households (single, older, disability, refrigerated medicine, no auxiliary heat source, flood prone location, etc.)
Each neighborhood would come up with a plan to communicate across households and reach out to vulnerable neighbors.
Possibly identify resources (off-grid power, portable generator, skills?)
