In keeping with the spirit of the season, on November 18th the town of Poultney will celebrate the second annual Poultney Thanks and Giving Day. This year, Green Mountain College students and staff collaborated with the Rutland Regional Planning Commission SerVermont AmeriCorps VISTA member to plan and organize the event.
The day promises many civic engagement opportunities. The purpose of this event is to create a closely knit group of neighbors helping neighbors.
Poultney Thanks and Giving is an all-day event that brings the community together through civic engagement and good food. There will be over 100 volunteer opportunities at 20 different locations around the town of Poultney. There will be three free meals throughout the day, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
