Curious about electricity? Come and make batteries with weird stuff! Make a meter, build and test circuits with switches, solar cells, lights and motors, get most of your questions answered and learn about safety. There will be lots of materials to experiment with, from wire compasses and electrodes, lemons and potatoes, salt water and coins. There will be LED's and motors, and generators of various types, water and wind turbines, solar cells and switches. There will be several stations to explore and lots of time to build!
Participants should be at least 6 years old; older kids will have lots to work with and the time and materials to design and build. This event is designed for elementary school aged kids and their families. Kids will learn how circuits work and design their own! Hosted by the Brookfield Library at the Old Town Hall.
