Veterans and Service members who have deployed to the Southwest Asia theater of operations on or after Aug. 2, 1990 as well as those who have deployed to Afghanistan or Djibouti after Sept. 11, 2001 may be eligible for new benefits.
All World War II Veterans who served between Dec. 7, 1941, and Dec. 31, 1946, are now eligible for VA health care, regardless of their length of service or financial status. They will not have to pay inpatient or outpatient copays, enrollment fees, or monthly premiums
