Greensboro Historical Society Presentation and Annual Meeting August 5, 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Greensboro United Church of Christ in the Fellowship Hall.

The Greensboro Historical Society invites you to our Annual Meeting featuring a presentation on the geology of Greensboro by Dr. Robert Merrill. Dr. Merrill grew up on a Dairy Farm in North Greensboro, where he developed his interest in geology while wandering over the hills and clearing rocks from the fields before planting. His interest in geology was not just a hobby but became a lifelong pursuit. For the past 50 years, Dr. Merrill has been applying his knowledge in the field, with a recent focus on the humanitarian applications of geoscience through "Geoscientists Without Borders".
