Middlebury native and Leicester resident Ashley Wolff only ever wanted to be an artist. She has written and/or illustrated over 60 books for children during the course of her long career, including the wildly popular Miss Bindergarten series and the adorable Baby Bear books. In addition to loving dogs and birds and the various critters who live amongst us, Wolff cares deeply for the environment and has contributed to books for children about composting, conservation, and the impacts of climate change.

Wolff's newest book is My Towering Tree, on which she collaborated with author Janna Matthies. A lovely, rhyming read-aloud, My Towering Tree features Wolff's beautiful and richly detailed art depicting all the life that surrounds us, right in our backyards. Though this is an evening event and Ashley will speak about her career and process, children are, of course, welcome. IPL is thrilled to partner wit VBS for this event.
