Do you make maple syrup? Do you like making things with maple syrup? Then you should enter the Addison County Maple Sugarmakers Association maple contest at Field Days! Anyone can participate, entry is easy and you could win maple glory, and bragging rights for a year - doesn't that sound sweet? The categories are:
- Maple Syrup: 1 pint, Vermont graded (Each grade is a separate category plus Backyard Amateur - 25 or fewer taps)
- Maple Candy: 3-4 pieces
- Maple Cream: 8oz container
- Maple Sugar: 8oz container
- Maple Specialties: at least 1/2 cup of syrup used, any grade; include recipes; use disposable dishes
