Hands-On Knotweed Management Workshop

Past event
Aug 4, 2024, 2 to 5 PM

Hello, Greensboro!

The Greensboro Conservation Commission is continuing our invasive plant management programming this Sunday, August 4th with an outdoor workshop. It's time to move the conversation out of the lecture hall and into the field with hands-on management experience.

Mike Bald will be returning to lead the afternoon's management of two distinct Japanese Knotweed sites here in town. The first will be in The Bend, right on the Lamoille. Those interested in participating will congregate at the parking for the rail trail at 2:00 PM, and from there we will head off to the first management site. Then we will transition to the management site at the Highland Lodge, where we will begin our work around 3:30 PM.

Everyone and anyone is welcome to join for both or either session.

If you're interested in learning new tips and tricks on how to tackle this growing ecological threat, this is the workshop for you! Free of cost, available to the public. All you need to bring is yourself, a pair of boots, and an interest in conserving our environment.

I hope to see you there,

Will
