The Crowell Gallery presents "Variations", an exhibit by Barbara Garber. Garber will be showing selected works created between 2021 and the present. "Variations" runs August 3rd through the 31st. A reception will be held at the Crowell Gallery on Saturday, August 3rd from noon to 2pm. The Gallery is in the Moore Free Library, 23 West Street, Newfane, Vermont.
The exhibit includes small sketches and paintings as well as a series of wall sculptures made from elements of previous installations. "Bringing together this variety of work for the first time at the Crowell Gallery has been exciting. I have not seen the work in a continuous sequence before, and I'm always intrigued by an opportunity to do an on-site installation."
Garber is an abstract painter and installation artist whose inspiration often comes from music or from the constantly changing environment in southern Vermont where she resides, "Capturing transient, fragile moments is at the heart of my work."
