Saturday, August 10th, 11:00 - 2:30, Johnson, VT
Come learn how volunteers from five towns helped residents in Lamoille and Franklin Counties planned for emerald ash borer. Working collaboratively, this group made plans for the emerald ash borer in five towns and had fun doing it! Their engaging model can be applied to other invasive pests threatening our forests.
After the presentation, join us for an optional potluck lunch and learn about the Forest Pest First Detector program and visit the Johnson Community Arboretum to learn about their treated ash trees. Come for just the presentation or all three activities!
Schedule:
11:00 - 12:00: Presentation
12:00 - 1:00: Potluck lunch
1:00 - 2:30: Visit Johnson Community Arboretum
