Patrick Ross & Doug Perkins make musical magic with fiddle and guitar! This spirited concert will make you smile and tap your toes. Bring your picnic and chairs or blankets for this outdoor concert. If raining, the concert will be held in the Old Meeting House. Tickets are $15, available at the door.
Patrick Ross, a fiddler since age 5, won the VT State Fiddle Championship at 14. As one of Vermont's busiest acoustic roots musicians, he has brought traditional music to audiences of all ages, always giving it a fresh, captivating feel. Ross has toured with various music ensembles, performed at the Grand Ole Opry and the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., and opened for Charlie Daniels and Willie Nelson. He's established himself as one of Vermont's top session musicians. His concerts include a worldwide range of fiddle styles along with songs he has written for guitar, banjo, mandolin, and cello.
Doug Perkins' beautiful and versatile guitar work reflects jazz, rock and roll, and bluegrass influences. His 2012 release, " Music for Flat Top Guitar "earned a Best Instrumental CD accolade from the Rutland Herald/Times -Argus. Some of his musical projects have included Phish members (John Fishman, and Mike Gordon), Jamie Masefield, Gordon Stone, Hot Flannel, and Smokin' Grass.
