Join authors Eileen Charbonneau, Eileen O'Finlan and Jane Willan for a spirited look at the darker sides of Old and New World folklore.

Eileen Charbonneau's novel, Spectral Evidence, tells of the escape to Canada made by the family children when Mary and Philip English are accused of witchcraft during the Salem hysteria of 1692.

Eileen O'Finlan's dual timeline of 1830s and 1970s novel is The Folklorist. It explores the New England Vampire Panic of the 19 th century and its family
echoes.

Jane Willan divides her time between composing sermons and dreaming up murders. She is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ, and she is the author of the popular Sister Agatha and Father Selwyn Mystery series.

You'll hear why fascination with witches, vampires, and murder continues to hold a firm grasp on our imagination. This event is free and open to the public.
