State Flood Recovery Center Open - August 1 & August 8
The State is hosting a Flood Recovery Center at CVU High School in Hinesburg on Thursday August 1 & August 8. It will be open from 9:30am-6pm. Use the main CVU entrance. The purpose is to connect people with the needed services and to hand out some necessities. Flood Recovery Centers provide:
Snacks and water from the Red Cross
Cleaning kits
Drinking Water Tests Kits for those on wells
Assistance finding recovery resources
Mental health services
Basic medical services
Several state and non-profit agencies involved in individual disaster recovery will be present to answer questions and guide visitors to appropriate services. Participating groups include:
American Red Cross (ARC)
Salvation Army
Designated Agencies (DA) for Mental Health
Division of Financial Regulation (DFR)
Division of Fire Safety – Public Education
Vermont Agency of Human Services - Field Services
