What is a Justice of the Peace (JP)?
In Vermont, a Justice of the Peace is an elected official with several key responsibilities, including:
Supporting Free and Fair Elections: Assisting in the smooth and fair administration of local elections.
Handling Tax Abatements and Assessments: Managing transparent processes for tax-related matters.
Administering Oaths and Performing Marriages: Providing essential services to our community.
