Join the Friends of the Fletcher Free Library on August 3 and 4, Saturday and Sunday, for a book sale on the library lawn, the same weekend as the Festival of Fools. The sale features history, biography, classics and youth books, as well as a variety of fiction and non-fiction, DVDs, and audiobooks. Help us find new homes for these gems while helping to raise money for library programming: a win-win proposition! Don't get fooled; mark your calendars now, and you won't miss out on great books at bargain prices. (In case of inclement weather, the sale will be in the Main Reading Room.)
Volunteers are needed on Saturday morning (9-10 a.m.) to help set up, Saturday and Sunday evenings (5-6 p.m.) to move tables and books indoors and take down small outdoor market tents, and Sunday morning (11 a.m.-12 p.m.) to set up for the sale. If you have a few hours to spare, it would be greatly appreciated! All volunteer hours are eligible for work hour credits for City Market members. To volunteer, email fffl.volunteer@gmail.com.
