The Royalton Democratic Committee is looking for candidates to serve as Justices of the Peace in the Town of Royalton. The Town of Royalton can have up to ten (10) Justices of the Peace, as identified by the Vermont Secretary of State guidelines. Nominations for Justices of the Peace will be for the November 5, 2024 General Election Ballot.
Justices of the Peace responsibilities include to:
. act as local elections officials to support free and fair elections
. hear tax abatements and assessments to provide a transparent & responsive process
. administer oaths
. perform marriages
