"I spent much of last Saturday at the Peoples’ Climate Summit organized by 350Vt. It was high-energy event...Late in the carbon-tax workshop, one of the participants said something like this is good stuff, we need to get organized to talk to our representatives. I was able to say we’ve already started to pull the pieces together for a network of citizen lobbyists in Vt.-
The next meeting of Citizens’ Climate Lobby-Burlington will be on Sunday, November 9th from 3 to 5 pm, at Ruggles House, 262 S Prospect St, Burlington. We’ll start with the international conference call, and then continue with our local reports and plans.
Charles Kennel will be the guest speaker on the conference call. He is a former director of Scripps Institution of Oceanography and a former Associate Administrator at NASA. He recently co-authored an article in the journal Nature arguing that it is time to abandon the 2 degree C warming goal and track a range of vital signs instead. That provoked some debate in the climate-science world.

So - we're posting the invitation to join the group and become active citizens lobbyists, talking to our Legislators regarding the most important issue of our time. Eric and I plan to attend.
