Join us at American Flatbread on Friday, November 14 for a Benefit Bake to support the Mad River Valley Community Fund! The Community Fund will received $3 for every large flatbread sold (take-out too!) that evening. With the generous offer to match every dollar raised this fall from a long-time benefactor of the Fund, that $3.00 will become $6.00!
The Mad River Valley Community Fund provides financial assistance to individuals and families living in the Mad River Valley, who are suffering economic hardship through no fault of their own. There are state and federal programs designed to support the disadvantaged but virtually all of these programs are long term. Sometimes, people fall through the cracks or suffer from circumstances that don't fit any governmental guidelines.
The Community Fund's mission is to act as a bridge to ease unexpected circumstances, not to provide continuing support.
If you were in need, you might ask a friend for help.
What if you didn't have a friend or family member who could pitch in? That's where the Community Fund comes in.
