The Barre Progressive Party is having a rebirth!
Calling all Barre residents who support progressive movements and want to help move our community toward serving all residents fairly, civil political discourse, more open and transparent governance and increasing civic engagement.
Join us for the organizing caucus on Friday, August 2, 2024 at the Aldrich Public Library from 5:30pm-6:00pm. The agenda includes:
• Elect Barre Progressive Party officers
• Get involved - sign up for local, grassroots organizing
• Discuss scheduling and decision-making processes
What is the Vermont Progressive Party?
The Vermont Progressive Party grew out of the progressive efforts of the Vermont Rainbow Coalition and began its life at the first Progressive Party convention July 9, 2000. Since then the party has been endorsing, supporting and promoting forward-thinking candidates from both the Democrat and Progressive Parties and policies and platforms that underpin participatory democracy.
