Join the Parade! Participants are welcome! West Newbury Summer Festival, Aug. 10. In this election year our theme is "Building Bridges." Who or what would you like to meet on your bridge? Where does your bridge lead?

How do we get across bridges?

Bring your ideas, your kids, animals, bikes, flowers, banners, instruments, floats, relatives, creativity and be in the parade! All are welcome to participate. πŸ¦“πŸ›΄πŸ€ΈπŸ¦˜πŸ₯πŸ΅οΈ

Please pre-register by responding to this posting. Line-up is at 10:15 am, Aug. 10, at Tyler Farm, by the post office. West Newbury is very little, you'll see it on Tyler Farm Road.

For a full day, head out for the 5K Fun Run on Tucker Mountain at 8:30 sharp. Come back for Morning Treats to the West Newbury Hall. Stick around after the parade for a picnic lunch under the tent, to bid on anything you want at the Silent Auction, to learn about the bridges of Newbury, pick up anything you need at the White Elephant Sale, learn about shepherding in the 21st Century. Don't forget your Just Desserts and the bake sale, and bidding closes at 1:30 for the spectacular Silent Auction. For more information, westnewburyhall.org or call 802 505-5281.

QUOTE OF THE DAY: "Crossing bridges requires courage and a spirit of adventure. Embrace both, and you will find new worlds." – Richard Branson
