The Community College of Vermont is inviting local veterans to its Winooski center this Monday, Nov. 10, to share their stories of World War II to present-day combat. The storytelling will take place from 7-8 p.m. in room 108 at the Winooski Academic Center.
During the week of Veterans’ Day, staff from CCV’s Winooski center will also continue their annual Yellow Ribbon project, when faculty, staff and students are encouraged to write notes of thanks or remembrance to veterans or service members in their communities on yellow paper ribbons. The ribbons will then be hung in the window for passersby to read and enjoy, and at the end of the week, the ribbons will be collected and presented to local VFW posts and other organizations around the state.
CCV’s Winooski center is located at 1 Abenaki Way.
