The Craftsbury Chamber Players' season continues on Thursday, July 25 at 7:30 PM (pre-concert discussion at 6:45) at the Hardwick Town House.
There is also a free mini concert for children and their friends, at East Craftsbury Presbyterian Church, at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 25. The program features excerpts from the evening concert and age-appropriate discussion.
This week the first half of the program is completely string-centric. Repertoire includes a duo for viola and cello by composer Paul Wiancko, a trio for violin, viola, and cello by Ludwig van Beethoven, and an Elegy for viola and piano by Henri Vieuxtemps. The concluding work is a lusciously romantic Quartet for piano, violin, viola, and cello by Swedish composer Elfrida Andree.
The performers are Mary Rowell, violin, Kenji Bunch, viola, Frances Rowell, cello, and Monica Ohuchi, Piano.
Tickets are available at the door, online, or at your local library to check out. Single admission – $25; Students – $10; Children 12 and under – free. Split season pass (any 4 admissions) at a discounted rate. For information, please visit http://ccpvt.org or call 802-586-0616.
