What We're About:
Each month, we pick a new release flick, gather, & watch together in our cozy basement theater. Screenings are followed by a light discussion/chat. Informal. Fun. Bring a friend or make a new one!
Robot Dreams:
Synopsis: Dog lives in Manhattan and he's tired of being alone. One day he decides to build himself a robot, a companion. Their friendship blossoms until they become inseparable - all set to the rhythm of '80s NYC. One summer night, Dog is forced to abandon Robot at the beach. Will they ever meet again? Simultaneously heartbreaking and heartwarming, Robot Dreams is a not-so-simple animated tale of connection and loss. You'll like this if you like: classical animation, small details, magical realism & a story that leaves a lot of room for interpretation.
How to Join the Cinema Club:
Joining is simple: purchase your ticket ahead of time and show up night-of. All attendees must be 18+
About The Savoy:
The Cinema Club meets in The Savoy's newly-updated basement theater. Beer, wine, candy and fresh popped corn with real butter available for purchase. *The basement screening room is down one small flight of stairs.
