Reminder – Veggie Share and Food Drive at Charlotte Grange Tuesday 7/23 from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.
How's your garden doing this summer? The Charlotte Grange welcomes you to bring your surplus garden harvest to share and swap with your neighbors. Bring your extra veggies, and enjoy a short vegetable fermentation demonstration by Jason Elberson of Sobremesa.
No money is exchanged, and all are welcome to select vegetables! Participants in the share can pick whatever they would like to bring home and enjoy. This is the first of three exchanges this summer, so don't worry if your garden won't be ready until later this season! If you would like produce for your family and do not have anything to donate, please come anyway and just "shop". Feel free to taste your neighbors' bounty and come and chat with other gardeners and local food fans.
Any remaining items will be distributed by the Charlotte Food Shelf.
This is also your opportunity to drop off your non-perishable donations for the Charlotte Food Shelf for our special drive in honor of (and with thanks to) Karen Doris' 31 years of Food Shelf Leadership.
