Interested in learning more about growing mushrooms at home? At Peace of Earth Farm we are offering a workshop July 28 all about growing mushrooms in the landscape. That could mean growing mushrooms in your garden or around some trees or bushes, in a pot, or on logs. This time of year is great for starting a Wine Cap bed in the garden.

We will demonstrate creating a bed on the farm and show how to multiply and move around your spawn. We also have a log yard full of shiitake mushroom logs to explore. We will show harvesting shiitakes and how to manage the logs, as well as talking through the process of log inoculation in the spring.
