Hi Friends and Neighbors!
As we have been hit again with flooding on the anniversary of last year's destructive events, we are acknowledging how difficult and heartbreaking weathering a climate-exacerbated future will be. We're reminded that the strength of our communities is what keeps us safe. Please be aware of resources that can direct you towards mutual aid and support efforts happening now in Washington county.
The critical work 350VT and the Plainfield Energy Team are building towards is not just a Vermont with clean and just energy, but a Vermont with resilient and connected communities that stand up for each other.
To this end, the Montpelier node of 350VT is hosting a summer climate event series, bringing engaging lectures and workshops to Washington County this summer.
Please join us tonight, Wednesday, July 17th, from 6-8pm at the Unitarian Church in Montpelier, for our next workshop, Thermal Energy Networks.
Food provided.
This past legislative session, towns across Vermont were given the green light to take community control of this innovative heating and cooling technology. Join Debbie New of Vermont Community Thermal Networks as we break down what Thermal Energy Networks are, why they are a sustainable and resilient clean energy solution, and discuss how your town can join the growing movement to implement these networks across the state.

We hope to see you there. If there are specific flood-recovery efforts or funds you would like to see 350Vermont lift up at this time, please respond to this email to let us know.
Solidarity,
Bob Atchinson
