tataki zomé
hapa zomé
flower pounding
just a few names by which this slow art is referred to
tataki (hammering)
zomé (dyeing)
isn't an aggressive action though, it's more of a pushing, nurturing, encouraging the flower or leaf to leave behind a pigmented print.
too harsh of a movement and it will become a blob
this art, like all things with nature cannot be rushed ✨
