As part of the Marlboro Historical Society summer walk program, Marcia Hamilton will lead a group to the Clark Warren Cemetery on Saturday, July 20. She will feature several graves and talk about the people, some of whom are members of the Winchester family featured in the May Walk. She will share some obituaries, photographs of the subjects, and the meaning of some gravestone symbols. She also will share a letter from a Civil War soldier who died during his service in 1863.
Meet at 9:00 AM sharp at the Marlboro Historical Society, 364 South Road and carpool to the site. There is limited parking. You might want to come with sunscreen and bug spray. The walk itself is on uneven ground. For additional information, contact Marcia Hamilton, m8rcia@gmail.com or 802 490-0347.
