Grand Isle Historical Society will hold its Annual Meeting and Election of Officers at 6:30, July 24 at the Hyde Log Cabin site, 228/230 US Rte. 2, Grand Isle. The meeting is free and open to the public.

Jan DeSarno, long-time secretary of the Society, has retired after years of volunteer work for the Historical Society, leaving the position of Secretary vacant. This position must be filled at the Annual Meeting. The main duty of the secretary is to attend four or five Grand Isle Historical Society Board meetings a year plus the Annual Meeting, take minutes and send those to the Board. The secretary does not need to be familiar with Grand Isle history.
